introduction ms word 2007- Word 2007 is the word processing application which uses ribbons and an office start menu instead of menu bars and toolbar that provide graphical user interface that enable you to easily create a professional-looking word documents using new professional features such as themes, styles, and Smart Art.
First thing, before you creating document in word, you should understand ms word environment and become more familiar with a few tasks and tool such as how to configure the Quick Access toolbar, Microsoft Office button, minimize and maximize Ribbon, display the ruler function and many more tools.
File menu replaced into Microsoft button. You move your cursor over the Microsoft Office Button will appear as is visible in the picture above. When you click the Microsoft Office button then you can use all tasks such as new file, open or print your document.
Setting of ribbon
In word 2007 has a ribbon system to manage the formatting of a text document and has a different set of tabs that exposes all functions that the application offers. Ribbon designed to work easily and can be reached with less mouse clicks as compared to the traditional menu-based UI
- Right-click on the main menu tab.
- Select Minimize the Ribbon in the menu that opens. This will toggle the Ribbon on and off.
Click the arrow on Quick Access toolbar
Select the command that you want to add to list. It will appear in the Quick Access toolbar.
The Save, Undo, and Redo commands appear by default in the Quick Access toolbar. You can add other commands according to your text document need such as Quick print and Spelling & grammar etc.
Display or hide the Ruler
- Click the View Ruler icon over the scroll bar.
- The View Ruler icon works as a toggle button to turn the Ruler on and off.
The new Mini Toolbar is a small toolbar with basic formatting commands that appears within the document editing area, when the mouse selects texts, Mini Toolbar visible close to selected text.
